This is no longer about tuition .. french language or otherwise. The huge numbers you are seeing is because of Bill 78. I am neither a student nor do I live in Quebec. I am a 54 year old housewife living in BC BUT if I were there I would be one of those in the street because frankly Bill 78 is an INSULT. I am tired of governments either local/municipal/federal taking away a citizen's right to protest/strike plain and simple. Bill 78 is atrocious and I am GLAD to see so many thumb their nose at it and hit the streets.

What the federal government did by declaring Air Canada an essential service was equally disgusting. Air Canada is NOT an essential service ... there were other airlines available ... it was and is a way to destroy a worker's right to strike and is union busting ... there should be way MORE people in the streets. We cannot let this insanity continue and I mean restrictive laws and an out of control government serving only the 1% and NOT the majority of Canadians not the people protesting these ridiculous laws.  I applaud and support them.
