  •  I said goodbye to the Catholic Church (4+ / 0-)

when I was about 10 years-old (which was back in the 70's). Although I was raised in a rather religiously lax household, my early critical thinking skills would not allow me to proceed further than Communion (which was only done out of respect for my maternal grandmother).  Been a recovering catholic ever since -- oddly enough, it was the discovery as to the definition of "catholic" (including a wide variety of things; all-embracing) which started me on my path to recovery.

Living in the heart of Chicago's Irish-Catholic South-Side did not make this choice easy, but I was able to hold to this decision, while living there, until it was time to go to college.  That, though, is another story for another day.

-8.88, -7.77 Social Security as is will be solvent until 2037, and the measures required to extend solvency beyond that are minor. -- Joe Conanson
