He's a great guy, and even though he's a Republican, I'll be voting to re-elect him this year. Talk about an anti-Nicklaus.

From everything that I've been hearing from him, Supervisors of Election all across the state have been reinstating people on the voter rolls.

This, combined with the legislation that constrains voter registration, limits early voting, and mandates photo and signature IDs, gives Romney an early boost.

It's just like the old saying goes...
"If you can't beat them, use all the tools at your disposal to limit their ability to win, thereby allowing you to beat them by default."

bill.  Strongly... one of the only bastards to speak out for it.  He has designs on a higher office.

I'll vote for the Democrat... whoever it is.

where we are now has to do with the republican strategy that began with getting local people to fill small offices and then moving forward to county and state offices. Not only does this give them a much much larger and louder collective voice from bottom to top, but as those increasing voices are heard, the words they speak and the stances about which they speak slowly but surely come to seem more "normal", more natural, more mainstream.  And the stance of what is tolerable and acceptable creeps further and further to the right until we find ourselves fighting for voter equality.

    •  please get more informed before voting for a (0+ / 0-)

Repig. I voted for one once, for county coroner. Just a year later the creep was indicted and had to resign. That taught me the lesson to never vote for one. BTW, the issue is that it really doesn't matter if you find some repig that looks like they are a good guy with integrity, because everything their party stands for negates that. Their party stands for crushing your little head under their boot, they want you to have to take student loans from banksters who will profiteer off of your lifetime misery, send you to wars for oil and ego, and deny your rights as a citizen all over the US. Don't kid yourself about this local Repig you think is the hot stuff. Get more informed about it and don't just rely on what the guy says. There isn't a republican official anywhere who isn't filthy. Colin Powell-- he assassinated innocent people in Cambodia for Richard Nixon. It is by their very nature being a Republican that they are corrupted down to the very soul. There's one Refilthypiglican guy in CA I liked as a human being and he had integrity for sure, he ran 2 or 3 times for governor, but he also had stone age ideas about social issues (christian right b.s.) and budget austerity cut on the backs of disabled people who, like all the repigs, thinks charities would do a better job than govt. to take care of anybody who isn't a wiz at business.

The Repiglican Party NEVER deserves your vote. Think this through, because in effect by giving any Repig your vote, you are enabling everything they stand for. And what they stand for right now is denying people (gays, democrats who vote, women, anybody who isn't rich) their rights, using the austerity excuse to destroy everything in sight. And most importantly, it is these very Repiglican Supes of Elections who have repeatedly schemed, since 1998 to run elections in ways that benefit their party at everyone else's expense. I can say without a doubt that the guy you think you want to vote for is one of those pig opressors.
