  •  DNC (8+ / 0-)

has contributed 1.4 million dollars to Wisconsin. with $800,000 of that since November.
We can't outspend the Republicans at this point.

    •  $1.5 million today ALONE says DNC (15+ / 0-)

      is wrong.

Today alone, $900,000 MORE from the Dem govs (in for well more than $2 million now) and $600,000 MORE from We Are Wisconsin (lots of lesser donors, bless you all).

Of course, we can't outspend the GOP.

But SOME Dems do think it matters to spend more -- and so does the pollster who does internals and finds it a dead heat today, thanks to the impact of even SOME Barrett ads now.  So imagine the impact of $1.5 million more for ads and more, just today.

So I'm all tapped out for the DNC.  So sad.

    •  That's the DGA (5+ / 0-)

Democratic Governors Assn.  The DNC isn't sending a check;  they're sending Debbie Wasserman Schultz.  Ick.

The DNC has directed $1.4 million to Wisconsin so far in the 2012 cycle with $800,000 of that coming since November, according to figures provided to the Fix. Nearly a quarter million of those dollars have been directed to the state party.
DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz is headed to the state to raise money for Barrett later this month. And, Obama for America state director Tripp Wellde is also working on the recall effort.
“We are completely committed to electing Tom Barrett,” said DNC communications director Brad Woodhouse. “Any suggestion of a lack of commitment or engagement on the part of the DNC/OFA is off the mark and does nothing more than play into the hands of Scott Walker and his billionaire buddies who launched their frontal assault on working families in Wisconsin.”
Added Wisconsin Democratic state party executive director Maggie Brickerman: “The Democratic Party of Wisconsin has always had and will continue to have a strong relationship with the DNC and OFA.”

        •  Sorry, but I'm here (0+ / 0-)

and our state Democratic Party, the ones who know about these things, say otherwise.  They might be putting money into OFA for their voter registration efforts, but nothing is coming in for the recall election.

The DNC has been bombarded with calls from here and elsewhere begging for resources in the final weeks of the election.

When Mike Tate, chairman on the Wisconsin Democratic Party says they're helping, I'll believe it.  Until then, the DNC can say all the want and it will fall on deaf ears.

          •  Also here in Wisconsin (0+ / 0-)

and in Milwaukee, which is one of the main targets of efforts -- as is my house, my phone, my mailbox, my email box -- nada from DNC or OFA.

We're wise to press releases instead of truths here, whether they're press releases from the DNC or from Walker.

as far as I know hasn't contributed SQUAT.  They ignored WI request for days and days and DAYS and then supposedly sent a fundraising letter to "millions" of people.

I give money to candidates all over the place but I haven't gotten that letter.  And it would be better if they just sent more money now and replenished funds later.  All those volunteers need pizza.

Hey... that's an idea.  Can we non-Wisconsinites start sending you guys food or something (not send the actual food, send money for what you need)?  I'm thinking of when people were sending Occupy Wall Street pizza and takeout.  All that work means you'll be hungry, and knowing we're keeping you going helps too.
