    At least in terms of other nearby stars.  The actual space between them is nothing worth seeing for a human - literally, you couldn't see anything but the stars, of which the Sun would have receded into being just one (and all the planets would be lost in its light).  Eventual missions to Oort Cloud comets will have to rely on infrared to see their targets, because in visible light it's pitch black out there.
