    and it can be a source of great strength to know Christ stands in solidarity and love with you.

    My personal pastoral experience has taught me to follow the lead of the person with whom I'm counseling before going there. Poorly worded, and I'm guilty of doing that from time to time, it can seem as if I would be suggesting that their suffering pales in comparison, or that they must subsume their suffering into Christ's. I have had to seek forgiveness for careless speech in the past.

    It is such a fine line to walk sometimes. I'm comforted to know that I do not walk it alone.
