can't just enjoy their bazillions of $-- why do they have to spend so much of what they have, to ensure the demise of democracy and to punish the poor & middle class?

is it the "principle" of the thing they're fighting for? do they want to keep their club a small one? do they just like the sense of power they get from potentially swinging an election? is it force of habit (are they just mindlessly doing what they've always done)?

things are pretty peachy for the 1% right now-- why do they want more? they are destabilizing the country, which will ultimately affect them in a bad way, although not to the extent it will affect the rest of us. They need to breathe the same polluted air that the rest of us do, drive on the same crappy highways-- and the next pandemic virus will find them, too.

why don't they just take a nice cruise or retire to a beautiful island for the rest of their lives?
