  •  oh, also (4+ / 0-)

he was our vet for a bit.  My parents have known the Schraders for about 18 years.  My dad coached one of their daughters in softball.

    •  Cool! I've met him a few times, very nice guy. And (2+ / 0-)

he liked the pix of my warmblood stallion, so I knew he had good taste. ;-)

Could I ask you a favor, please? Do you have any idea what their email addy's might be? I know that Martha was just reelected and there's a statute in the state that could really use some attention. Have you seen the diary I've had up today?  The House emails won't allow links, I haven't checked the state house official emails yet.

It's okay if you're not comfortable with it, but I thought I'd ask.

      Thanks

      •  Neither is in state politics anymore. (2+ / 0-)

Martha is returning to the county commission, and hasn't been in the state senate since 2010.  However, your best bet is Kurt, since he's your congressman.  He can lean on local officials.

In Lincoln County your state rep and state senator are both retiring, so Arnie Roblan, the other state rep in on the coast is the guy to contact, since he's running to be your state senator, and you can talk to David Gomberg, who's running for your state house district.

If e-mails don't take links, I think you should call Kurt's district office up and talk to someone.  Tell them what's up and ask for the staffer's email so you can e-mail them the links.

You can call his Salem office at 503-588-9100 or his Oregon City office at 503-557-1324.

Sorry.  I interned for Martha a few years ago, and my dad just met with Kurt a few weeks ago, but I'm not that well connected to them to have their personal contact info.

        •  Thank you. I saw her name in the primary and (2+ / 0-)

just assumed that she was still in the state house.

I didn't mean to ask for their personal info, sorry I wasn't clear, the library was closing and I was rushed to get outside. What you gave me is perfect, thanks for taking the time to do the links.
