identifying other organizations that together make up the cabal; funding foundations (Koch, Scaife, Olin, DeVos, etc.), conservative groups like AFP, Heritage, Heartland, Center for National Policy, etc.

I do this because at some point I hope the MSM - or at least Progressive outlets - will realize that Hillary was right about a "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" and not off her rocker.  Just going out and searching for connections on Muckety reveals much about the cabal having clerks within the SCOTUS, the revolving door, recruiting efforts through "internships", etc.

The Eric Heubech "Treatise": "The Integration of Theory and Practice: A Program for the New Traditionalist Movement" was written based upon the Weyrich teachings and manifesto.  It describes in detail why and how to keep the "left" off balance, how to continuously discredit our initiatives and policies, how to recruit from our colleges and why education must become "theirs" in order to instill a change in our culture...

I'm sure it is read from as a holy document at every one of the Koch's private gatherings.

So yes, we must develop our own treatise, detailing how we must proceed to overcome and the first thing that entails is finding funding to support such an important initiative.  That has proven elusive for the past year - even as everything has become public regarding ALEC and their members leaving in droves - as those with the funding available, refuse or are reluctant to contribute to our efforts.  Go figure.

Your efforts to keep the pressure up on ALEC  through exposure and actions posted at VLTP is vitally important to everyone. The stellar work at CMD and the legal challenges from Common Cause has me fired up, for sure.

I've been distracted by the efforts to reign in the tyranny in Wisconsin, my home state. It goes without saying that ALEC is the primary source of Walker's overreach, but there's also the John Doe issues, bullying, corruption, etc. So it's been busy.

The "Treatise", which I usually call the "manifesto", makes for a lousy book of instructions. It's more like a case study for Hofstadter's essay on The Paranoid Style in American Politics. There's nothing new in their manifesto. When their crazy ideas don't stand on their own, their behavior goes off the rails. The imaginary threat of the evil amoral left is their worst nightmare.

They are terrified of the left.

Knowing what buttons to push is a big advantage. Exposure and ridicule seem to get them going. They tend to double down. That reaction backfired for Komen and the Rushbag.

I like seeing an occasional report of infighting among the factions of wingers. One that was relevant was back when the CNP called their emergency meeting to choose their endorsement for president.  They voted and voted until they got the answer they wanted, tossed the Catholic faction out the door, and it all got leaked to the public. Then Bachmann whined and leaked names of a couple of CNP members. Oops.

The most obvious infighting was among the loser candidates themselves. I had hoped that they'd still be throwing all that unlimited cash down the crapper.

      We'll get there.
