(lived near D.C.) and raising money for the civil rights movement with a coffee house my friends and I created, was at the 1963 March on Washington with my father and brothers, and roamed the neighborhood at age 13 in 1961 with my best friend getting fair housing pledges from homeowners (or being on the receiving end of hate-filled curses from some).
Lawrence O'Donnell points out that Romney, who's a year older than me, never lifted a hand in anything having to do with civil rights. The only demonstration he joined was one supporting the draft and the war in Vietnam, knowing, of course, that he was exempt (a very high draft lottery number and his convenient missionary work in France) from this war he so strongly supported.
I actually think highly of Holder although I share frustration about the time it takes for him to act. However, as I say in a comment above, I think there's good reason for that and I think in the long run it actually works pretty well.
