      Just because you choose not to drive any more doesn't mean you went to the DMV and told them to drop you from their list of licensed drivers.

      Even if you did, DMV removals may or may not be fully up to date. It depends on the management of that data system.

      have been during the many years she lived and would have been too disorganized to be able to find any birth certificate, marriage license, death certificate or anything else that could have been used.  And then of course there would have been my grandmother who was never issued a birth certificate.  They might not be alive right now or living in Florida if they were, but I'm sure there are plenty of people in Florida just like them.But I'm sure you'd just  consider them collateral damage.  No big deal.  At least that sneaky hispanic looking guy over there won't sneak in a vote.

      how the state would retroactively remove those who no longer drive from the 12 or 20 year old automobile records they used.
