  •  If Obama loses, we'll lose the Senate too. (0+ / 0-)

The odds were already heavily against us keeping the Senate because there are too many Dems and open seats exposed this cycle. If Romney wins, it will be because of better GOP turnout, and that will take the Senate with the White House.

The only thing that might save the Senate for us is if the Tea Party succeeds in ousting enough GOP incumbents in the primaries. Ironic--control of American politics always boils down to Democratic incompetence and timidity vs. GOP arrogance and overreach.

to Australia. I don't want to live in the kind of society that would be the result of such an election. I have enjoyed living in the USA but this is no country to get old in.

The universe may have a meaning and a purpose, but it may just specifically not include you.

      •  I might think about it. (0+ / 0-)

I'm US-born and have never lived elsewhere, and my family has been in the USA for 150+ years on my dad's side, and longer than that on my mom's. All my family and friends are here; my kids are about grown. But my son wants to move to Japan, and I think he's not crazy.
