  •  Hey My Email Is In My Profile (8+ / 0-)

email me anytime. I am something, if I do say so myself, an organization expert :). I've actually thought about trying to sell the service to folks.

Oh and the key is to take before, during, and after pics.

And finally since you've seen me post pics of my office. Well I geek out on home offices. I have hundreds of pics of what other people have done.

Generally speaking the most amazing are those of people that do crafts for a hobby and/or living. Some of the stuff they do is just flat out stunning.

If you want some inspiration just do a search on Flickr for home offices. A lot of groups there to get some ideas from.

I really like the first and this last one. I've put up a few peg boards and what to put stuff on them that isn't work related, but "creative" and/or inspiration stuff!

        •  This Is My Take (7+ / 0-)

The layout of my home office, where I spend like 12-15 hours a day changes a little here or there almost weekly. Spend an entire weekend and get it put together. Then "live" with it for awhile. Change and tweak. Change and tweak.

Another thing I always suggest to people are these two things:

          (1) For some people a "super" organized office isn't needed. I am somewhat OCD. My father, his office is so cluttered it hurts my head. I want to crawl into the fetal position just being in it (and it is an entire house, not a room). But it works for him.

          (2) Set aside, and this is key, 10-15 minutes each day (at the start, but I'd suggest the end) to get things back to the way they were when you started. Just 10-15 minutes. If you let it go a week, or weeks, then the task of getting things back to the "perfect" arrangement will seem to daunting.
