It just makes me angry to see this site push the same old crap over and over again.  Beginning with Wisconsin and continuing through Occupy, some new ideas have been offered, better--a revival of old and successful approaches.  The effort to tamp those down here is relentless.

The "more and better" refrain at this point is an example of the definition of insanity.

...then it really is past time to forget about "more."

I'm amazed that Walker won and I refuse to believe that money alone made the difference. It is also up to the candidate to make a difference.

A really great candidate (Feingold) might have been able to pull it off.

Who else would it have been? Really? I am not asking hypothetically, I am asking SPECIFICALLY.

job 1: message that recalls are necessary and just (need money for that)

job 2: message the shortcomings of Walker (need money for that)

job 3: message one's own greatness (need money for that)

job 4: resonate with Republicans, Democrats, Independents, instate and outstate, Madison, Milwaukee, affluent suburbs, rural areas (need money and a little something special personally for that)

job 5: fight of incessant, 24/7 negative, dishonest, lying advertising and "news punditry" (need money for that)

You'll notice that MONEY is the big feature here. MONEY made someone with the WORST job record in the nation, an unbalanced budget, tax increases, low tax revenue, and two criminal investigations into a rock star. Explain to me how an opposing candidate without money is going to do that on their own personal greatness?

We on the liberal side of the political equation have failed massively to market our vastly superior program.

By far, the greatest part of this failure has been access to big money to hammer the low-information public with our messages.

But another problem is our failure to recognize the significance of scientific marketing in the political sphere.  In the first place, we need well-crafted, targeted messages to place in the media (with our non-existent money).
