  •  Indeed, but it will further push the Overton (19+ / 0-)

window to the right. Dems, in an effort to compete, will be tripping over themselves to sound just left of the most vile right-wing ad.

    •  Sure. I'm afraid that will only go further right (7+ / 0-)

with each big money win.  Pretty soon, big money will win almost every game.  I feel numb but I've had a couple of great beers and some Tennessee honey and, well, that helps and, I guess I suspected this outcome and expect more like it.

I'm going to just try to be as happy as I can be and keep attempting to shout the truth until the window closes and they get around to ruining me.  :-)

When they do, I'll try to face it with a defiant spark in my eye and a sarcastic smile on my face.

      •  funny you mentioned that. (4+ / 0-)

The GOP has been using the Union Boss meme to try and justify Citizen's United ruling.  Problem is that as important as this election was to Collective bargaining across the country how much was spent by those filthy rich unions?  Well about 1/10th of what the corporations spent.

If those lying cocksuckers in the GOP pimp out that meme one more fucking time about the "union thugs" and all our money going to fight against the GOP, I think my head might explode.  Do the fucking math we can not even come close to competing on a dollar for dollar level with them.........

US politics knows that what you wrote is true - even Europeans I know realize this about the US system.  It is an unfair fight and only incompetence keeps republicans from completely controlling US government.  They are very close to complete control, given that they have moved many democrats so far right.

I'm at a loss as to what to do about it, other than a movement like Occupy or a movement like our Founding Fathers mounted in, oh, about 1775....
