possible. Avoid spending with the big corporates. They have consolidated so much and I really do not know how much we can do. But it truly is the only shot. Fuck Wall Street. I'm out, have been out since the dow got to 12.4K. I'm 52. Can't afford to lose what little I got. I'll take 1.5% interest instead of handing my money to those fuckers. Buy local from small business. Starve the beast. They are using our own money against us. We have got to find a way to get around it.

if a habitat is flooded, the improvement for target fishes increases by an infinite percentage...because a habitat suitability index that is even a tiny fraction of 1 is still infinitely higher than zero, which is the suitability of dry land to fishes.

coporations have power because they have money, but its our fucking money.  don't give it to them and they wither on the vine.  spend that money in mom-and-pops and not only does it invest in your community, circulating, improving, building, growing, but the power stays local.

But in practice, if you're poor, you have almost no choice where to spend your money. You spend it on what's closest and cheapest, and since corporations have carpet-bombed the commercial landscape with megastores and cheap crap, they've got a captive buyer base as well as a captive election audience. In fact, the more people they can make poor, the more people they hold captive.
