    I always enjoyed the fact as a child (Episcopal church, but I'm a pagan now) that the Anglicans don't have More as a saint, since he was martyred opposing the split of the English church. However, they do have John Donne.

    Considering that both More was a pretty nasty fellow, I think it was a good trade.

    (More was credited with lots of torture and burnings, and married his second wife before the first was cold. Among other  things. Donne wrote love poetry.)

      She was illiterate and he liked it that way.  He educated his daughter and was closer to her than to his wife.  Kinda makes you wonder, doesn't it?
