  •  I might add using non-felonious means too, not (0+ / 0-)

just legal means. After all, civil disobedience is unlawful.

      .... organized trespassing (civil disobedience)..."

Sure it's unlawful, and it was when those black kids sat down at that segregated hamburger counter, and when Martin Luther King was organizing marches without permits, and all the rest of 'em too.

It's a recognized viable tactic, it's nonviolent, and it's certainly not a felony (yet; if Mitt gets in, who knows?).  Its place in the arsenal is as a form of escalation and also a way to have specific practical effects at specific places & times, such as putting the spotlight on a particular villain, or launching a lawsuit.

I also like the "ten minute version" where a crowd bursts into a place before anyone can bar the doors, and then sits down and clogs up the lobby and sings union songs or does loud chants, and then leaves before the police arrive.

And I also like the variation of that which involves dumping bags of styrofoam & cornstarch peanuts (shipping peanuts) on the ground and releasing helium balloons into the interior of the building where there are high ceilings.  Both of those become "souvenirs" of the protest that stick around long after the protesters have left.  And they're only "littering," not vandalism.

The key to making any of that stuff work is to do it in a disciplined & rehearsed manner so it comes off like choreography.  A well-rehearsed performance impresses an audience far better than a sloppy one.

"Minus two votes for the Democrat" equals "plus one vote for the Republican." Arithmetic doesn't care about your feelings.
