Federalism is archaic and leads to corporate welfare.  Growing up in NYC, I saw NJ and CT lure corporate America with tax breaks and utility incentives. the metropolitan area lost out in the aggregate.  Time to reform the country--in so many ways we've looked at the constitution as a bible instead of as our first set of laws and rules.  In a way, it's creationism--unscientific and harmful to human growth.

    Apres Bush, le deluge.

It is wrong to pit one state against another to compete for jobs. I saw it happen between Illinois and Indiana. I now see it between Florida and everybody else.

But I also have a feeling that we as a country are too big for our form of government. That we need either to radically change our government and adopt national policies as opposed to the so-called "laboratories of democracy" every state for themselves situation that we have now.

Or we need to break the country up into a number of small countries if we take the founders principles seriously.
