    I knew McCain was a moderate. He personally addressed the crazies in his party and made it clear that he was not going to wage a personal war with Obama. Even his positions were somewhat understandable - he objected to the Bush Tax cuts and agreed with Obama's decision to end torture.

      while I don't disagree it shows some decency (it stunned me at the time) it's a pretty sad state of affairs when the refusal to mine below the gutter becomes a defining trait of moderation. Especially given the rarity of moderation in the GOP.

      Class war has consequences, and we are living them.
