    march toward a giant collapse of this nation, with the gulf between the haves and the have nots growing so large that nothing can sustain this system. It might have to get there before there's a new paradigm. The SCOTUS support for
    this rotten stage of capitalism is just another symbol.

    I do worry about young people now.

      But also the irreversible march towards total global warming, peak oil, and the complete destruction of the environment. I am not very hopeful. We could easily eradicate ourselves by the combined effects of environmental poisoning, starvation and diseases which no one has the money to treat. It's not a pretty picture.

      As fast and furious as republicans have been destroying every safety net, I see it as very possible that this is the most important election of our lives. And even if we get Obama re-elected, unless we can get a house and senate majority... well... we already know what that looks like.

      While many minority groups are the target for discrimination, few face this hostility without the support and acceptance of their family as do many glbt youth.
