    That not only is the future composition of SCOTUS an important - perhaps the most important - election issue we face, and an absolute requirement of progressives of all stripes to support Obama, regardless of his past failings and disappointments. If you don't then I think 'progressive' is no longer an adequite term to apply to you; 'nihilist' would be better. But also I think this could be a potent issue in the coming election - a vote for Romney is a vote to turn us back to the insolent aristocracy and economic stagnation of the antebellum 19th century South, facilitated by the SCOTUS, who denied the middle class access to basic health care.
