      in relation to results about "ni--er jokes" and "i hate ni--ers." Those were the most common in the study.

        Minnesota is highly segregated, as are many states in the north, etc. Minnesota racism is more likely to be aimed at Hispanics, Native Americans, Africans, and some of the Asian groups that have settled here. Again, in highly segregated communities.

          The study also integrates voting habits.

          The South has its share of segregation too, and Minneapolis doesn't rank in the top 22 of segregated cities.

          Segregation can be one part of racism, but I don't think you can draw a 1 to 1. Some large cities are pretty segregated because they have large minority neighborhoods with distinct cultural histories. More minorities flock to these places because of the tolerance.

          Some places are segregated more because of racism.

          There are a number of things going on there, and segregation is only one part of the picture.
