    rhubarb pie had chunky rhubarb and no other fruit - but it was delicious. She also made good lemon meringue pies.
    Once she made us a green tomato pie. (It also had raisins in it.) Tastes like mince pie, but it's green. (For this pie, you want the tomatoes full-sized but just before they start to color. I've heard it called the 'white' stage: they're a paler green.)

    (Is it time for the pitchforks and torches yet?)

      I don't think I've ever had the opportunity. Next time at the farmer's market I will look around. We have a lot of Amish around and their cooking influences some local dishes. Maybe that is one they make.
