    sometimes they can do fine with lighter work or as school hacks. Some do well barefoot. But they're trippy under a load.

    I've been around a lot of "rich" people in the DC/Int'l horse set. If they have a horse that has problems, everybody's going to know about it. I've seen lame horses given away but never a fraud like this. These people don't mind paying good money for leg ups, even really extended ones. There's no way such a defect could be kept a secret. A lot of the owners/riders are vets and MDs. On top of that there's lawyers everywhere.
