One thing that makes me laugh is this idea that a Rubio Veep pick will "help with the Latino vote."

Don't these people know any "Latinos" other than the guys working on their lawns?

There is no such thing as "the Latino vote."  To the extent demographics mean anything at all, there are the hyphenations:  Mexican-, Puerto Rican-, Salvadoran-, etc.-American.

And the one things all the above hyphens will tell you is, they are NOT Cuban-Americans, and do not get along with the wealthy sons and grandsons of the wealthy upper class that fled Cuba when their stranglehold on that country was broken by Castro.

Be clear.  I am not saying Castro was a good thing or a good man.  That is another conversation entirely.  I am saying that the idea that a Cuban- will bring in any votes just because his name ends in a vowel is just stupid ignorance.

But wait, this is Washington conventional wisdom.  How could it be anything else?
