  •  Just Finished Angelmaker (4+ / 0-)

by Nick Harkaway.  His first novel since Gone Away World four years ago and a worthy follow-up.  Angelmaker does not have the same kind of mindbending plot twist as GAW, but is just as fast, funny and fun and I defy anyone to put the book down over the last 50 pages or so.  Harkaway is known as John le Carre's son, and writes very different books than JlC.   But if he keeps it up, le Carre will start to become known as Harkaway's father.  If you read Angelmaker, be sure also to check out Edie Investigates, a short story involving one of the principal characters in the novel, which is available for Kindle on Amazon for $1.99.

Just starting Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, which promises to be a serious change of pace.
