    Just a quick point about the 69th: Singh used to be mayor of East Lansing, but is no longer; Diane Goddeeris (sp?) is now.

      I live in Ann Arbor so I never really pay attention to the happenings in East Lansing. :P

      Yeah, Sam hassn't been mayor for years, now.  I hope he wins the primary.  In all honesty, I was hoping this guy would shoot for state-wide office; I think he's that inspiring a person, but perhaps he's smart enough to realize that you can't get on by inspiration, alone, in a lot of politics and that'd it'd be smart to start at the bottom even know he has years of political experience.

        I have met both Sam and Susan. They both are very good candidates and would make great state representatives. In someways it reminds me of the 2010 race in Ann Arbor between Jeff Irwin and Ned Stabler. Both would have been great state representatives.
