It is getting about 1/5 of the advertising attention of states like OH, VA, IA, NV, CO, and NH.

    •  And they're anti-Obama indy group ads, not... (4+ / 0-)

...Romney campaign ads.  I don't know that any pro-Romney ads are airing at all, but I could've missed something there......but by and large the superpacs and other indy groups are airing attack ads against Obama.

No one is giving Michigan the attention of a tossup state.  That means these polls are dead-wrong.

      •  Yep all SuperPAC. (0+ / 0-)

Zero campaign money so far, and Biden spilled the beans a few weeks ago that Team D was comfortable with where they were.

As I note below, EPIC-MRA's turnout model looks way off.  WAA is non-transparent, so we don't know but it's probably similar.  That Dem consultant's poll sample was D plus 8 and showed Obama ahead by 2.  2008 turnout was D plus 12.  In any event, I'll believe this is in play when the campaigns "show me the money."

I can't remember seeing any pro-Romney ads.  It's almost entirely anti-Obama ads being aired in MI.

I agree.  I would be concerned if Obama was spending tons of money here.

MI might not have has much advertising going on as other states but the ads are mostly negative Obama ads.  I see almost no pro-Obama/anti-Romney ads.  I have seen the "I voted for Obama but he spent like our credit card had no limit" ad almost every day.  So the ads that have been aired in MI have favorable to Romney.

    •  Than I'd really hate to live in those states! (0+ / 0-)

Seems every commercial break has at least one pro-Romney/Anti-Obama ad in it.

      •  I'm in Tampa, Florida (0+ / 0-)

and it feels like I see mostly anti-Romney ads, even though I know statistically both sides are going pretty hard here.  Could be the programming you watch or where you live.  Who knows?
