    minority communities and is that not  a huge civil  rights issue? Of course, in a whack-a-mole way, this kind of legislation has popped up all over the country, and everyone's  civil rights are at risk on yet another front. If state legislatures remain in Republican hands, there goes the commons or what's left of it. And even if  Dems happen to win big on all levels, we're still going to have work like hell to stop forces of profitization, asset-selling, etc. from unduly influencing the Dems. Ultimately, maybe only public campaign financing can stop this kind of thing, if it is stoppable. I do wonder if it's the greed for remaining resources that's really the underlying cause here. Hard not to have that "Twilight Time" feeling surveying the extent of all the assaults on the planet and the people.
