    This quote resonates with me:

Regimes that pursue austerity—€”lowering spending by reducing benefits and public services—€”despite its pervasive and predictable inadequacy, have political—and not economic—€”motivations.
When I think of Republican religion, their economic policy of tax rate reductions skewed to the highest incomes, deficit spending, at least when Republicans are in control, re-imagining the capitalist free market as a hierarchy with the producer class on top, creating wealth by trickle down, and business deregulation,  I have to say that it was all politically motivated, too, and that there was no economic motivation in any of it.

power and enriching themselves. Our Founding Fathers would have waged a literal war with these vermin over what they've done to this country.

Stop the party of Gut & Spend policies that gut our Earned Benefits programs like Social Security and Medicare and spends on tax breaks for the wealthy elite.

'we live in a consumer society--if consumers can't spend, the economy can't improve.  Therefore, if we put more money in the hands of consumers, both consumers and producers benefit.
Trickle down doesn't work, but trickle up always has'

We kidnap. We torture. It's our policy. Embrace it or end it!
