  •  There was a good turnout (5+ / 0-)

It was my first time since election night, but from what others were saying there were more people than there had been, and they ran low on song books. Spirits were high, and the songs sounded lovely. There was definitely an uptick in police presence, and specifically in police moving around conspicuously, watching us, and taking notes.

Some people have managed to get pictures of what a few cops have been writing down, and it seems as though they're making note of descriptions of people and what's on signs that they're holding (which has led to people like Giles Goat Boy and Wisco Wherls making signs that include their description :-) ). I don't know if they make note of people who aren't holding signs. Who knows what they're going to do with the notes, or if they're just doing it in a silly attempt to intimidate people. Today one person brought a big piece of cardboard (from and Ian's Pizza box, I believe) so that everyone could sign in commemoration of the 400th Singalong, and so that we could help the cops out by giving them all our names.

    •  I was holding my daughter for a while, (5+ / 0-)

wonder if that counts for a police description?  :-)

It was good to be there, and to add our names to the pizza box.  Four hundred singalongs, and going strong!

My first time since election night too.  I'm glad it's still a daily event rather than a just-on-Fridays.
