of the Court (grants of a hearing, et. al) are announced first.  Then, the justices begin reading their opinions (or, a summary thereof).   The opinions are not released until the justice begins reading.   The justices will read opinions based on reverse seniority order.  That means, opinions from Kagen will be read first, then Sotomayor, with opinions from Roberts coming last.   Dissents and concurrences are USUALLY not read from the bench, but, healthcare may be an exception.

Ultimately, the only thing that matters with respect to preserving choice is who will be nominating the next Supreme Court Justices.
