    when I saw this:

what I believe a Reform Democrat takes as the most important attribute of a federally elected official: loyalty.

All I could think was: is loyalty what I'm looking for? answer: heck no!  If a Paul Wellstone broke with his party to push, promote, or vote for legislation more progressive than their agenda, I'd be clapping him on the back.  "Reform Democrats" want the party to move to the left, not for the machine to become all-powerful.

Now, having said that, I will admit that the analysis done here essentially looks at measures of conservatism or liberalism, because it specifically looks at votes that split by party, which tend to be those with highest partisan/ideological content.  But in the long run, it won't be loyalty that gets my support, but vision and action, and I think that MeteorBlades may need to rethink his wording/framing of this value.
