pharmacies do not exist to make money for the business owner, they exist to satisfy a fundamental human need, under very hazardous circumstances, which is why they are so very closely regulated. If the primary purpose of pharmacies was simply to make money for the business owners, convenience stores would sell prescription medications.

The moment the government asserts the right to control who can dispense medicine, government asserts the right (and incurs the obligation) to dictate the obligations of the people who will be permitted to dispense medicine. I have no problem with the government telling the pharmacist straight up: you will stock and sell these medicines, or you will not stock or sell any medicines at all.

To put the torture behind us is, inevitably, to put it in front of us.
