    At first I thought it was a class reunion from the School of Americas, and I found it frightening.  And then I saw that the president was meeting with his military. And I thought that looked about as democractic as it could possibly be. I mean: there is nothing here to see.

    I see you aren't alarmed by any of this. And I do think that the new Paraguay government needs a good defense, which you are providing.

      ...meeting his military commanders and they're all in uniform, will you write a diary about how the United States is under a military regime?  

      I am now old and calm enough that I can take a smarmy punch even when it comes to something I am reasonably well-educated and well-informed about.  So I'll only point out that the newspaper article, if you care to read it, is about the new president firing several top military commanders.
