    They were primed to simply look for "commerce clause" to see if it was yes/no and then reported from that, without understanding the full breadth of possibilities.

    So when the reporter on the scene followed her instructions and looked into the summary for "commerce clause" she saw "no" and thought that was the whole story.

    Then we get five minutes of "this is a long and legally dense document", in other words, reading is hard.
