  •  Forget about us (4.00)
Those of us here at the DailyKos can analyze the Shrub's shellgame to death, but what really matters is what the rest of America thinks, especially those who supported the Repugs.

This morning I stopped at a local, family-owned garden center for a few things.  The folks there are typical of the citizens of my very red county here in North Carolina - their pickup trucks are festooned with Jesus fishes and yellow "Support our troops" ribbons.  One of the women asked me what I thought of the Shurb's press conference.  When I started to give my cautious, "It left me confused" answer, she launched into a diatribe against his SS plan that nearly knocked me off my feet.  The others in the store nodded in vigorous agreement.

I'm still reeling.  It was as though red America finally woke up to the horrors of Bushco.

    •  Thats good to here (none)
I'm not asking for 100% recognition of how much of a bad president he is or how bad his idea is for the middle/working class.......I'd settle for 20%.
    •  Good news that people see Bush the liar (none)
This whole Social Security road show has been almost a dream event for the Dems.  Bush's personal popularity and support for his gutting of Social Security have both DROPPED SUBSTANTIALLY since he started his tour of lies.

Finally the average American is seeing what an idiot Bush is now that their "Fear of Terror" blinders have been partially removed.

Social Security is something that most average Americans have experienced personally, 99% of the people in this country know more about Social Security than the drooling idiot Bush, and most see right through his plan to gut it.
