Original 5 state SBC (Based in texas) bought Pac Bell and Nevada Bell

      Then they bought SNET

Then they bought Ameritech (Midwestern states regional Bell company)

      During this timeframe:

Southern Bell & AT&T had a joint venture: Cingular Wireless

SBC then bought AT&T and KEPT the national brand name AT&T

The new AT&T (SBC) Bought Southern Bell

So Cingular now being owned wholly by the new AT&T (SBC) was rebranded AT&T Wireless

The new AT&T (SBC) now then had SC (As SC was part of old Bell South)

After all this The new AT&T (SBC) is just one of 3 Big Bell companies left (Verizon and Century Link other 2)

      Hope I didn't confuse you :P

Never underestimate stupid. Stupid is how reTHUGlicans win!
