    •  If we win.... (0+ / 0-)

....it'll probably be 5-4, this time with Kennedy supporting equality and Roberts back with his right-wing pals.

    •  Actually, there's profit. (2+ / 0-)

Excellent motivated workers will refuse to move to states that don't acknowledge their marriages and honor their families.

Large corporations, especially in the tech industry (but not exclusively) understand that when employees are treated with respect, they are happier.

A mobile workforce is a huge asset for a national or international corporation. But if you can't get your best workers to transfer to your rapidly expanding facilities in Dallas or Atlanta, that's a problem.

Expect many corporations to vigorously side with obliterating DOMA: that it seves no public purpose but hurts industry and the economy, much like Starbucks and Microsoft supports marriage equality in WA.

So if you get hit by a bus tonight, would you be satisfied with how you spent today, your last day on earth? Live like tomorrow is never guaranteed, because it's not. -- Me.

for the caterers, florists, bands, and formal-wear manufacturers, too.

"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself."........ "The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little." (yeah, same guy.)
