  •  That's a really good one, I think. (4+ / 0-)

Why are we, the 99%, paying more in taxes to subsidize corporations?  Many corporations get tax breaks that ordinary individuals can only dream about.  (Need to look up some really outrageous  examples.  Which 30 U.S. corporations paid zero income tax?)

    •  There was a Facebook image meme about that (4+ / 0-)

going around about a month ago; I'll see if I can find it. It listed those 30 corps and said "These guys paid ZERO tax last year. How about you?"

Really pissed off some wingers on my page - and for the right reasons, too.

Science can tell you how to clone a dinosaur. Humanities explains why this is a bad idea.

      •  Googled '30 corporation paid 0 tax' (2+ / 0-)

or something like it.  A whole page came up.  Some of them even got money back.  The five biggest  are interesting too.

I think the main street theme, local small businesses closing, after 30, 40 years would be good.

The other thing that struck me was the comments reporting how easily the people they talked to were able to change their minds, and how one simple piece of information would lead them to change their mind.  Not an argument, not a lecture, just simple 'I didn't know that' information.   Somehow there is a subconscious assumption that what I know, you probably know too.

Need to capture those cases, and get a whole list.  You get hired at w, and they help you fill out an application for food stamps? As a matter of course?
