In the 90s during the gays in the military brouhaha. I made the point of why gay people were given a free pass never to have to die to defend their country. Was it fair for straight people to die for them while they were out enjoying life?

It seemed to work. That person now supports gay marriage.

The one about "why should gay people be protected from experiencing the joys of divorce" is an old joke, but it makes some think.

One thing Progressives often forget is that the average person runs on auto-pilot with these things. They honestly don't spend ANY time thinking things through.

They merely pick stuff up as they go about their day. In some parts of the country, the only thing they hear is content that evokes familiar frames and makes them feel stuff (usually anger, sometimes frustration, sometime envy).

By placing Progressive content in familiar frames, we can make them feel stuff, like, "Yeah! Why aren't the gays fighting for our freedumz!" Suddenly, we have THEM doing our work for us! :-)
