    are under the illusion that Medicare is cheap, covers everything, but that is not the case. The supplemental, which covers 20% does not make up the gap, as there are still areas where money comes direct from the senior's pocket (such as home infusions, which I have direct knowledge of), plus the high cost of that 20% supplemental, which goes up each year, just like other insurance premiums.

    The only sensible course is Medicare for All, which would make the insurance companies have to fight for the 20%, thus lowering the cost, hopefully. Until there is some kind of single payer, we are all screwed.
