    I'm really laughing now....
    Started with the comment....

.... it was all in Aramaic and Latin with English subtitles (appealing to America's vast Aramaic-American population, no doubt
And continued with Max Von Sydow in the Seventh Sea (I know, I know, typo, but it was amusing to think of Max as Sinbad fighting Ray Harryhausen's monsters, and I really, really liked The Seventh Seal)
But the one comment that really made me laugh out loud was about Simon (Jack Palance) in the Silver Chalice
....ridiculous robes appliqued with allegedly arcane symbols that looked more like wiggling sperm.
The movie is so terrible, it's guilty fun to watch.  (I admit I did tape it just to make sure it was as awful as I remembered!
    PS it was.
I love these movies, and sometimes the more gawd-awful the better.  There are far worse vices....
But I really enjoy the bitchy comments from some of the screens most venerable stars about others....harkens back to the days of reading Louella and Hedda and 'Hollywood Confidential' (which was hardly confidential)....it piques the 'oh my, how could she say that' while thinking I wish I could be that quick and witty!

I think, therefore I am........................... Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose AKA Engine Nighthawk - don't even ask!
