That was an accidental death. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Republicans are far more socialist than Democrats. Just because they want to redistribute the wealth upwards does not make it any better.

      limited number of civilians killed?

can the citizens see the kill order?

can we see the documents which justify this program?

      no

we are protecting you from speech of a citizen by killing them without charges or reasons given

who cares if it violates our own system?

Implied that Al-Awlaki's son was targetted. That wasn't the case. Civilian casualties as part of collateral damage are terrible, but they are not new.

are counted as militants not civilians.  Doesn't matter if they were standing around a barbeque with a group of teenagers and were not militants at all or not.  That's how we roll now.

I think the reason why that rule is in place is because if the bodies of women or children are found, then you instantly know that civilians have been killed. However, if you find the body of someone who could be the terrorist targetted, then it requires examination to confirm identity. I'm not defending the rule, but that's the justification. I don't think this rule started with Obama or even Bush. Clinton used targetted missiles to attack Bin Laden, so I think similar guidelines were used there.
