    Honestly, my efforts to get help from the DOIs was laughable.  In one case, it was about disability insurance - I complained I should not have been dumped.  The DOI asked the insurance company if they did a medical review, the company said they did, so the case was closed - the DOI had no means to test whether that was correct and no penalty if it wasn't:  it was a complete waste of time.  (That I later won a settlement may suggest that the outcome at that time was inappropriate is up to others to muse over.)  The other situation was about health insurance, and the other DOI was equally limp (read: useless).
