    Perhaps you are thinking of the use of quotation marks to indicate irony or special meaning as, for example, something like this:  Palin shared her "vast knowledge of Russia" with the television audience.

    Personally, I don't like the use of the word here at all, with or without quotation marks unless someone from the Romney camp actually is quoted as having used it.  When I saw it, I looked back to see who had written the piece.  I suppose we're supposed to be okay with Kalli doing it as we know where her heart and politics are on matters related to women, but still, I don't like it.
