Medicaid in Texas if you make over $6500 a year and don't have a child.

Yep, that's the sign of a civilized society.

medical bills? Unfortunately too many do, or just don't get any medical treatment until it's too late.

Seriously. That's sick (in more ways than one).

You are male and you don't have children, you can't get Medicaid in this state, period.  Even with zero income.  You're totally on your own.

Places like the U of Michigan Medical Center are trying to stem the tide of totally uninsured penniless people, but it's a finger in the dike.  I hope they use every penny of their lobbying muscle to force Snyder and the Republicans of this state to take the Medicaid expansion.

(AHA) is organizing its political campaign to hit recalcitrant governors over the head on Medicaid expansion right now. To be joined by the AMA, the nurses, pharma, and the rest of the industry. Even the Wall Street Journal says so.

        Hospitals Urge Medicaid Expansion

Hospitals are urging states to expand Medicaid under the new health-care law, bringing a potent political force to bear on governors who face pressure from Republican leaders to opt out of the beefed-up program.
