    Because there was no way I was going to stand in a line of thirty people to purchase food tokens, and then stand in ANOTHER line of thirty people to purchase funnel cake, just for my 7 year old nephew who was going to be home in just one more hour. At which time he could go digging through the refrigerator for whatever he wanted.

    Instead, we stopped off at mcdonald's on the way home, and he STILL didn't finish his damned four-piece chicken nugget happy meal!

    WHAT THE FUCK!

    So how did that conversaton go? It went like this...

    "No, the fireworks are about to start, you're not starving, you'll be home soon enough.
    I said no, it's not happening, quit acting spoiled.
    NO MEANS NO TJ. Knock it off!"

      The "No is the new yes" is more than half constructed of fashion-based phrasing.

      "X is the new black" was used as the chassis of this jalopy.

      "X is the new black" is the dominant linguistic frame, because it is the foundational phrase.

      Why yes, I have been going through lakoff's books about mental framing again. Because I want to be fresh to catch the right wing propaganda when it gets thick and frisky on the "news" shows.
