    I know Obama is right, but I also know this is about the election and what he's proposing will never happen.  It's getting tiresome, and it's only July, sigh.

      Political campaigns (when done right) are about drawing distinctions and clearly describing the choices.
      The President is staking out one of his key positions for the election here.
      By doing this today he has identified this as an important issue on which the two candidates differ.

      Rather than blurring the lines, he is setting out the positions of the two parties and their candidates on this.

      And the winner will be able to act on this issue with some credibility as carrying out what the voters decided.

      So now let's go win this election!
